BioExplorer workshops 2010 - 2011

Proficiency in BioExplorer, 12 February 2011

1 day workshop, 6 hours

Goal: to gain confidence and proficiency in setting up BioExplorer for EEG and altering basic designs to meet the needs of individuals, including filters, thresholds, and rewards.
Prerequisites: A basic understanding of Neurofeedback.
Participants will be guided through basic setup of BioExplorer, basic theory, basic design elements, and basic design. Simple designs will be constructed in class in order to gain confidence in altering key elements of design (thresholds, rewards, filter settings).

  

Advanced BioExplorer Design, 29 and 30 January 2011

2 day workshop, 12 hours - Maximum 10 participants

Goal: To further advance the capabilities of users and trainers to create advanced custom EEG designs for BioExplorer and to construct as many custom designs as possible within the 2 day period.
Prerequisites: strong knowledge of BioExplorer and experience in creating basic designs or Proficiency in BioExplorer workshop.

Participants will bring 1 or 2 design concepts to the workshop. As a class, we will build at least 1 custom design for each participant, step by step. In doing this, participants will get gain proficiency in building complex designs from scratch, considering possibilities in design to achieve desired results, and gain a lot more confidence in building and customizing designs with multiple applications and reward possibilities.

About the trainer:

Ken Hutton is one of the most proficient BioExplorer designers in the world. His "Clinical Designs for BioExplorer" are in use on 6 continents by more than 100 Neurofeedback trainers. He is an inventor, one of a very few experts on Binaural Beat entrainment, and spent his early career as a studio engineer and producer of music in Nashville. His experience as a musician, programmer, therapist and neurofeedback trainer give him a unique toolkit with which he approaches design for BioExplorer.
